Complex Installations will focus on the next level of the MESA exams. During this week of class students will prepare to take the Audio System Installer and Security Systems Installer certification exams. These exams will help reinforce the information from the previous weeks of classroom and hands on skills. Because the MESA certification is based on written and practical skills the student’s hands on evaluations from the previous weeks of class will come into account when totaling the final MESA grade. Students must maintain a 70% or higher overall to become certified by the Mobile Electronics Schools Association.
The Audio System Installer exam is a 200 question certification test, giving students 3 hours to complete the test. Students must pass this exam with a 70% or better in all sections to pass the written exams. Should a student miss one or more sections they will have an opportunity to retake those sections in the eighth week of class.
